Savitry Dubey
Savitry Dubey is the daughter of nationally acclaimed Vedic scholar Pandit Ramavtar Sharma and Kaushalya Devi, scion of a well- known Congress family of freedom fighters.
Born in March 1930 in Gurukul Harpurjan in Chhapra district of Bihar. Grew up in the milieu of India's freedom struggle, surrounded by people who were constantly going to jail for their anti-British activities or were on the run from the police.
Early education in the Gogri Ashram's National School, followed by the Mission School in Deodhar and Patna University where she did her B.A. Psychology (Honours).
As a College student was a regular contributor to Azad Hind magazine and All India Radio, Patna. Later translated many books from English to Hindi.
